Laura Bush Foundation:

Patrick Taylor Library received three grants from the Laura Bush Foundation in 2007, 2008 and 2010. On March 1, 2012, Mrs. Bush visited the New Orleans Area to present the last Gulf Coast School Recovery Initiative grants to twelve schools. All of the past recipients were invited to the event at Chalmette High School. Below is the PFTSTA portion of the video thanking Mrs. Bush for all she did to improve the school libraries affected by Hurricane Katrina. At the presentation, Mrs. Bush promised another grant to every school that received money from the GCRI grants.
